Can the attachment zip download be configured to not change file dates?

When downloading all attachments from a ticket, the file dates inside the zip file are all changed to the zip creation date.  This makes it very difficult for our users to know which are the most recent attachments.  Can this behavior be changed, or does this require a defect / enhancement request to Atlassian?
