Can the LOB field be set to allow multiple lines?

I am new but learning rapidly from all your solutions. We have a specific dropdown field called LOB which currently allows single selection only. Can this be updated to allow multi-select, similar to the Labels field?

Further to what @Trudy P Claspill said, refer to this KB article on how to migrate an existing custom field to a new custom field of a different type.

It is not possible to change the Type of a custom field.

You would need to create a new custom field of the type you need, and move the information from the original field to the new field if you want to use only one field. Then you could remove the original field.

However, removing the original field can have a negative impact on filters and dashboards that make use of that field.
