Can't tag people on the Jira Board (comments)

Hi,

Using the account of the user or our account with admin rights, I can't tag people on the Jira board (on the comment) instead of opening the ticket and tag an user. This way is working not on Jira board

Can you check why please? Because user says that before it was possible to tag people directly on the jira board.
Or is it a normal functionality of jira?

I've tested this on v9.5.0 and it allows me to @ mention from the board view.

Is this functionality working from the normal issue view? If no, do users have access to the Browse Users global permission? This is needed when @ mentioning users.

To check this...

• Go to Administration (cog icon in top-right) > System
• Select Global Permissions from the left-hand menu
• Ensure users are part of a relevant Group which has access to the permission Browse Users

If the functionality is working in the normal issue view...

• Does it work for any other users in the board? Ask other users to check directly for this
• Have you tried reindexing the instance as a simple, first option?
