Can't see my new project listed under planning

I have set up a new project in Jira but when i go to the planning board and select the drop down to see my new project is isn't shown in the list of projects? help?

Hi Sarah.

Make sure your users (or Project Roles) have the "Browse Project" permission.

If any group or project role does not have that permission (Project -> Administration -> Permissions Scheme), those users will not be able to see the project or any of its contents.

Hi

I already have the correct permissions set up but still when I go to the Agile dropdown and select Planning and then change the project drop down to bring in my new project from the list it isn't appearing
