On a previous simplified board I could see the icons marked below, where I could set the assignee and see the linked issues without opening the details of the issue.
Now I have created a new project non already setupped, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to enable those icons. I'll put a screenshot below of how the card layout is showed right now.
Any help is really appreciated
Hi @Simone Pellegrini ,
welcome to the Atlassian community!
Here an useful article about how-to customize card view https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/customize-cards/
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_
thank you for your reply. I've looked at the documentation at the link you've provided, but it doesn't solve my problem.
I'd like to have the editable assignee directly from the card in the backlog. If I enable the field from the card layout, the assignee appears as non-editable text under the card title. Is there a way to achieve this? I know it's possible because, in another project that I manage (the first screenshot in the first post), that thing is there. I don't know how to enable it manually in this other project where this feature is missing.
Thank you for your time,
Simone

Ho @Simone Pellegrini ,
could you check that your user has Assignee permission in the related Permission scheme? If yes, verify that ticket is in a status wich allos assignee changes.
Please let me know,
Fabio

Yes, I can confirm that I have Assignee permission and that all the tickets are in a status that allows assignee changes.

Hi @Simone Pellegrini ,
you can edit assignee directly from the card. If you click on a card, a menu will appear on the right with all information about the card itself and there you can edit the assignee. Isn't it?

Hi @Fabio Racobaldo _Catworkx_ ,
Yes, I know that, but it requires one click that is useless, considering that jira is not a flash at loading things. I was wondering if there was a setup that allows me to enable the other visualization.
The fact is that I know is doable, cause in the preset project I can see that on the cards, but I don't know how to enable that on my freshly created custom project.

The only way to assign an issue from a backlog/board is through the right panel
I can't see a possible other way to do that.

I have a board where this is possible, as you can see in the screenshot below, but it was automatically set when I created the project.
I just want to know how to set up this in a project that is not setupped like this by default.

Ciao @[deleted],
based on my knowledge this is not possible using builtin features. Please check if there are some third part addon in your instance.
