Can't create a sprint

Hello, I encountered a problem that a person in a certain project on one of the boards cannot create a sprint, although his role is “Manage sprint”. What could this be connected with?

Hi @Andrey Ivanov Please make sure that the user has "Manage Sprints" permission on all the projects associated with this Board. So I would check the board query to see if it includes multiple projects and add the user to "Manage Sprints" permission on all those projects. Hope this helps!

Hello @Anandhi Arumugam _Cprime_ ! Thanks for the answer, the board has filters that include other projects where this person is not, could this have any effect on him not being able to create sprints?

@Andrey Ivanov Yes. To be able to Manage Sprints on a board, the user should have Manage Sprints permission on all Projects in the Board.

I just clarified that until recently a person could create prints, although he was not in other projects, maybe there was some kind of update?

Did you have the same Board filter?

Yes, it was the same filter, maybe slightly modified

Oh..that's interesting. Could you please try to use the permission helper to see what it says?

The permission assistant can only show an example of some task, but the problem I have is that it does not have a button to create a sprint, while, as far as I know, if it was a board filter, there would be a button, but it was would be gray

So after giving project permissions on all projects in the board, the user still has issues in creating and starting a Sprint?

Hello! Unfortunately, I cannot grant access to all projects, even for the duration of the test

I get that, but unfortunately, to be able to Manage a cross-project board, the user needs to have Manage Sprints permissions across all these boards. If you don't prefer to have this, then please split the project's board filter to be specific to this project and associate with existing board or create a new board that this user can manage.

I tried adding a person to all the projects that are in the filter, it didn't work

You were absolutely right, sorry, adding users to these projects was the right decision
