Can't assign roles to my user, from a migrated on-premises installation

Hello,

I have finished the migration from my on-premises installation. I migrated everything: the users, groups, projects (spaces now).

I am the "all admin": organization, app, etc. We have in total 8 active users, 3 that were developer roles on the old installation, and 5 for support/QA. The users for QA migrated with that role and I can enter and change them. But for my user if I enter into the Roles section for Jira it just says "There are currently no project role associations for this user.":

If I click on the Edit Project Roles it loads the screen but does not show me any project, so I cant' change the roles:

I have tried changing my Jira Roles, on the administration user settings, to leave them as the other users that do work, but no luck.

And, the issue is, of course, I can't see any of the projects/spaces or items that were imported.

And trying to delete everything and starting again is not quite possible, as far as I know: I would have to wait for some amount of days so the organization is deleted (when deleting the apps, it says it's going to take... 15 days? or something like that).

I am on the Free plan, and it's not on the cards to migrate to a paid one at this time. If I can't make this work then I would probably just keep using my on-premises installation and migrate later to another platform...

Any idea what could be wrong?

The free plan of Jira does not have roles/permissions as you can see in the feature list found here https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/pricing. In order to get roles/permissions you have to upgrade to at least Standard plan.

Yes, I understand that. The issue is that I can't see the issues that were migrated. And some other users (the ones that were no developers, just QA) they can be assigned (and have that, actually) the role of QA. I can't assign the Developer role for myself. I am not trying to define custom roles nor anything like that. Just be able to see the info I migrated...

The only way to see what was migrated is to upgrade to a plan that support roles, the free plan cannot display that.

So... I can't migrate to Cloud? That doesn't make any sense. Anyway, time to search for another option then.

I mean, I don't mind "not having" the roles feature. It's not something that we really use in our installation. If we have something "outside the normal" in that aspect of our installation is just because Jira is big and allows for whatever customization one could hope for.

But I am ok with having just the "basic" roles that the free Cloud version has. Apparently our QA members were migrated with that role, and that's ok. The problem is that I *can't* change the developer members to be the "vanilla" Developer role, which is what I tried to explain here. I insist, I am not trying to have roles nor anything like that. I am just trying to see the issues we have on our on-premises installation on the migrated one...

Or, if that's not the way to solve this, then how should I "disable" roles completely from the free Cloud version so all the migrated uses have access to the migrated issues?
