Can't assign issue to user in new issue view but in old version it works.

Can't assign issue to user in new issue view but in old version it works.

I want to assign an issue in the new issue view to another user.

But I can only assign it to myself or unassigned.

When I switch to the Old Issue View I can select other users as well.

That is certainly weird. So you are in new view and simply switch to old and it works? I would suggest you reach out to Atlassian Support directly so they can log in and have a look,

Thanks for the suggestion. :) Support got back to me and sent me this link with a mentioned workaround.
