Can't Resolve issues even though I have the right permissions

on a Service desk project I cant close issues, I can mark them as Done but not close them, when looking at Workflow config I see that:


Close Issues
Ability to close issues. Often useful where your developers resolve issues, and a QA department closes them.


Project Role (Administrators)

and I am an Admin on the project, not sure why I can't find a way to Resolve issues?

@Victor Alvarez welcome to the Atlassian community

Even though you are an admin you might not have the proper permissions to close an issue.  You should check the transition on the workflow and see if there is a condition that requires a specific role or information.  Can you share a screenshot of the workflow and of the transition conditions?

What type of project does this concern? Get that information from the Projects > More Projects > View all Projects list. Find your project in the list and tell us what it says in the Type column.

What are you trying to do to close the issue? Are you trying to change the issue to a specific status? If so, what status?

If you are trying to change the status, how are you trying to do that? Are you clicking on the Status pull-down when viewing the issue details and trying to select another status value? Are you trying to move the card for the issue from one project to another on a Board display?

What happens when you try to make the change? Are you not finding the expected status? Are you getting an error message?
