Hi Folks,

Most of our staff have Standard subscriptions to Jira Software.

I can imagine that for our Project & Delivery Managers and Senior Management that they would be interested in the Plans/Roadmaps feature which is available under the Premium subscriptions to Jira Software.

My question is can we convert some of our staff to Premium subscriptions to Jira Software while the rest remain on Standard subscriptions or do we need to convert everyone over to Premium subscriptions?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Hello @pgw

The subscription type (Standard, Premium) applies to the entire Jira instance, not to individual users of the instance.

If you want the Plans functionality you would need to upgrade your Jira subscription to Premium. You would then be charged for all your licensed users based on the Premium plan pricing.

You could limit who has access to the Plans functionality, though. There is a Permissions Configuration screen specific to the Advanced Roadmaps functionality.

Thanks for the clarification @Trudy Claspill.

Microsoft allows staff within a single organisation to have different types of subscriptions for O365.

Atlassian may want to consider offering this to customers in the future.
