Can on Post function open two Issues

Ted

We are using JMWE to create post functions for an onboarding form.  I would like to have two tickets spin up when one post function is triggered.

EX: User filling out the onboarding form selects needs a VM created, I would like two tickets spun up and assigned to two different users.

In JMWE we have separate transitions set up, I would like to just have the one spin the two tickets, the VM process is two steps by two different people.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks.

Hello @Ted

If you don't mind using a paid app, another solution would be to use Elements Copy & Sync

I'm the Product Manager of the add-on which lets you create as many issues as needed during a post-functions. The advantage is that you can copy information from the original issue to all the created issues if you need to, or automatically create issues only if a given set of criteria are satisfied.

Don't hesitate to contact our support if you have any question.

Kind regards,

Julien

Hi Ted,

if the two tickets to create are very different, you can just use two Create Issue(s) post-functions.

Otherwise, you could use the "multiple issue creation" feature of the post-function, as documented here.

Basically there is a two step process to create a VM. So we have a create a VM ticket on our user portal for user onboarding.

What I would like is when a user makes that choice for a VM machine to be made on the onboarding form, JMWE opens two tickets to two different owners based on the form choice made by the user on the portal.

1 ticket for the VM

2 ticket for the security step.

I am really new to JMWE and we had consultants set this up so I am kind of fumbling around to figure this out.

Thanks.
