We need to allow users to select up to 3 items from a longer list of checkboxes to limit the scope of requests. Is there a way to validate that 3 or fewer checkboxes have been selected upon transition?

If you have ScriptRunner you could create a scripted validation in the workflow to check the number selected. Thank you, I do have Scriptrunner and will setup a Boolean validator for this.
