Can Jira drop down fields be customized base on previous selection?

When we are creating a new issue type with customized fields. One of the drop down fields will have over 100 selections. So instead of presenting the user with so many selections, we want to add another drop down field and create a multi-level drop down selection to limit down choices for users. Can this be done in Jira?

For example:

The first selection would be a drop down of all the States, then if user chooses "California",

the next drop down menu will only show the list of all the "California cities".

Can this be done in Jira's customized fields?

That is what a "cascading select list" field does, try adding one of those.
