Can I simulate a form in a Jira collector with a table

I tried to pre-populate the description field with a table that I created using Jira's editor in a test issue. I copied the table and included it in the default value for that field. All I saw was the raw wiki format for a table. Is there a way to do this?
The table had 2 columns for a parameter name and a value:
