Can I setup Jira Mail Handler to send the same notifications as my Jira Service Desk?

Michael Gilbert
June 16, 2020

I am currently using Mail Handlers to accept issues through email.

Why?

Because I have 2 subdomain emails that lead to the same main domain, but for different projects. However, Jira does not allow me to use different subdomains when trying to setup the JSD service desk email portal.

What Am I Looking To Do?

I can accept issues through email and get them routed to the proper project just fine. But, I am looking to send out the same notification emails that users would receive, if they were emailing directly to a JSD mail handler, not a global mail handler.

I can't even figure out how to auto-reply to an email coming into my global mail handler, let alone how to use another schema.
