Can I prompt a mandatory dropdown field choice on changing a jira status?

Please advice if it is possible to achieve:

on changing the jira status prompt a dropdown field on which a person should choose one or more options (with reasons why does he move this ticket to the other status).

Hi @[deleted],

Yes - if you are working in company managed projects. The workflows there allow you to add a screen to a transition. Obviously, you should then add this dropdown field to that screen.

Additionally, add a workflow validator of the type Fields required to the transition as well, referencing that same field.

When a user then makes the transition, the screen will appear. If no option is selected, an error message will be shown to the user and the transition will be blocked until he/she selects an option from the list.
