Can I populate due date based on transition date + number pulled from custom field?

So I've created a custom field for timebox using a numerical field. What I want is when someone moves a ticket from To > In Progress, it will trigger the due date to be filled out with current date + x (number from time box field, in business days). Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible, and you will need to automate that with Jira Automation and smartvalue as listed below:
