Hi,
I would like to create 2 issues. The first one is a Story. The second one is a Bug. With the creation of the Bug, I would like to have an option to indicate to which Story this Bug is related to. Is it possible to configure this? I do not see the option of Story in the button 'Configure fields' (which is next to the button 'Import issues'.
Regards,
Daniel
Hey Jack, please see attached printscreen below. Instead of linking, what I would really like to have is an option list between the option lists Epic Link and Sprint which allows me to choose a user story created earlier. Can I get my organisation's Jira administrator to configure or enable this option list? Or is this not possible?
Maybe I am not understanding but you can easily link a bug issue to a story issue. If you wanted to require that linking, I.e. every new bug should be linked to a story then you can have a unique workflow for the bug and use the Validate function on the create transition.

when replying to an answer please use "Reply" button vs. "Answer".
You cannot do what you are requesting since "Bug" is of type task just like task and story. if you want you could create a "Defect" issuetype of type sub-task and then add defects to the story as sub-tasks to have the parent child relations. Note that I mention the name "Defect" here but you could call it whatever and probably
"bug" but I would not advise as it will get confusing later.
