Hi,

I would like to know if we can link One component to multiple versions. Can we do this ? If yes how?

For example:

Component = Appletree

versions: leaf1.1

              flower 2.1

              fruit 3.4

So that if I select a perticular affected component in a JIRA only those versions that are linked to that component should appear as affected versions.

Bet regards,

Devayya

Our "Configuration Management Toolkit for JIRA" app does exactly that. It allows you to associate components with selected versions and if that component is selected "Affects Version/s" and "Fix Version/s" fields only shows previously associated versions. You can find more information on our wiki. It adds JQLs, workflow validators and configuration options around this concept.

Components and versions are independent entities at a project level, there is no relationship or link between them, single or multiple.
