Hello,
So I want to create another Epic Template on my Projects. I want to keep for the existing projects the Epic template at the moment and create a new Project with a new Epic template. But I don't want the Epcis that were already created being affected.
Is this possible? What is the best way to do it?
Thank you.
Bests,
Paula
Hi Paula - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You should be able to accomplish what you like with Automation For Jira. You can have it create however many Epics you want based on some IF/Then logic in a single rule.
I want to create an epic with a different template. It can be in another project.

I want to set specific fields for the new epics. But keep the fields for the old epics. They will be used for different goals.

May I have your help on documentation on how to do this, please? Thank you.

Take a look at this to get started:
There are two types of automation:
Automation Basics: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides/expand-jira/automation
You can do this via global rules to apply to all projects also. You'll need to be a Jira Admin/Site Admin, go to Jira Settings > System > Automation Rules (left-hand menu).
For more on using Automation For Jira see these help pages.
