I am working on a project with multiple development teams working fairly independently building unique subproducts for a product.

I want to maintain multiple Product Backlogs for each team.

Is it possible in JIRA. I am currently using JIRA 5.2 version.

Hi

Not sure i understand your requirement; but what is stopping you from logging your backlog items in different projects for each development team?

It depends on how you choose to indicate which backlog an issue is in.  What's the difference between issue-1 and issue-2 that makes them land in different backlogs?

Are you using the Agile addon as well?
