I have created one task (ID-1).

Now I have created 2 subtasks in Task(ID-1). Subtask 1 has ID-2 and Subtask 2 has ID-3.

Is it possible to have Subtask 1 and 2 can get an ID with information of its main task

e.g. ID-1.1 or ID-1-1

@Jayesh No one has controls over Jira IDs as they get assigned automatically by the application

@Tinker Fadoua

Thanks for the quick reply. Doesn't even the admin have the facility to change this?

No, the incremental issue numbering scheme is hard coded into the core of Jira, there's no way to change it.

@Jayesh  just like @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- confirmed no one even admins can change the sequence
