Can I convert already existing projects to epics automatically?

Hi!

I just started at a new company and they asked with the little knowledge that I have of Jira, to help get it up and running.

My question:

They currently created a project for every project, where I would like to have 1 project with epics for every project - so that they will all work in the same sprints and everything is in one workplace. 

Is there a way to convert the current projects to epics automatically or will I have to create epics manually and create new tasks etc?

Hi Eveline - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

When you say "transport" - what does that mean? 

There is not a way to convert a project to an issue. However, you might be able to get a list of the projects and then do a CSV upload that would create the new Epics using the project Name as the Summary and Epic Name fields.
