Can I assign one Epic to multiple KeyResults in JIRA Roadmaps?

Dear Community

We use the JIRA-Roadmaps to visualize our Objectives and key results on a Unit level. This helps us to prioritize throughout our quarters. I have two questions:

  • Is there a way to assign the same Epic to several KeyResults?
  • How can I assign an Objective to a Priority or an Objective to an Objective?

Thanks for your support

Steph

Hello @stephana_mueller

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

When using the issue hierarchy extension in Advanced Roadmap, a given issue can have only one parent, and that parent is in the hierarchy level directly above the child.

Issues in the same hierarchy level cannot be parents of each other (i.e. Objective being a parent of another Objective).

What is the issue hierarchy for your Jira system's Advanced Roadmaps?

Hi @Trudy Claspill

Thanks for your comment, we have Objective - Keyresult - Epic - Task. That is how we assigned them in a pragmatic way in Roadmaps :).

Unfortunately, with Advanced Roadmaps, you won't be able to do what you want. An Epic can be a child of only one Keyresult, and an Objective can't be a child of another objective.

You can use generic issue linking to connect the issues, but not the roadmap parent/child relationship.
