I am looking to add tickets into JIRA service desk that were missed and change the dates to show actual dates. Currently any ticket created will have today's date on it. Any ideas on a solution for this? I thought about csv upload however can't find an option for this in service desk only in JIRA.
No. There's no "solution" because the created date is supposed to be when the issue was entered. Botching it is not the right thing to do.
If you are suggesting changing it to reflect when something happened rather than creating the issue, that's fine - create a date/time custom field to capture that.
I am adding in tickets that were not logged when we started using Jira SD, I have now been asked to report on these including historically. I am attempting to create these with the actual date they were done rather than the date I am adding them to JIRA if that makes more sense

Better to do that with a custom field, than hack the database.
