Can I add Fix Version as a default filter in the "All work" view

Can I add Fix Version as a default filter in the "All work" view instead of it being hidden under "More filters"?

I have a question about the filter bar in the All work view (Search → View all work items).

Current behavior

The filter bar shows a fixed set of filters — Project, Type, Status, Assignee — and everything else sits behind More filters. My teams filter by Fix Version constantly, so every time we open a new view or a new browser tab we have to expand More filters and pick Fix Version again. Over a day of triage that adds up.

What I'm trying to achieve

Have Fix Version appear as a first-class filter in the top bar by default, ideally for everyone in the site, so nobody has to dig into More filters each time.

No the fields shown in the "basic" search are not configurable.

There are no options to change the order or which fields are shown by default.

There is an open feature request on this since 2013!, JRACLOUD-31745

If we're talking about "All work" view/tab within a specific space, this is about to be merged with "List" view (as described here) 👀

Now, in List view, users do/will have the option to pin specific fields as filters: 

But if you're looking at global search, which is under

Since the basic filter bar isn't configurable today (the JRACLOUD-31745 request Marc mentioned has been open for years), a Marketplace app may be the practical way to get a pinned Fix Version view.

If you're open to using an app from the Atlassian Marketplace, JXL can help with this. JXL gives you a spreadsheet view of your work items where each sheet permanently keeps its own setup: columns, sorting, grouping, and filters, including Fix Version. You could create a sheet scoped to your teams' projects, filter or group it by fix version, and share it with everyone on the site. Whoever opens the sheet lands straight in that view, in every browser tab, with nothing to re-select.
