Can Atlassian for Google Workspace be configured to only access Google Docs?

I work for an organization with a strict security posture and requested to have the Atlassian for Google Workspace Chrome extension enabled but our Security team are concerned about Jira requiring the ability to view email messages when the add-on is running. We would like to know the following before deciding if this integration can be enabled in our environment: 

Could we block it depending on the label of a particular Google doc? Does the user control when the add-on is/is not running?

Even better if there's a way to block Jira from being able to view emails and limit the integration to just G-Docs

When connecting Atlassian to Google Workspace, you need to grant it access to various Google Workspace apps.
