Hi all,

I am trying to import a CSV to which includes backdated creation dates for some issues & the dates that the issues have been completed. From looking through other community questions and answers on this forum, I have tried to format my CSV and the way that Jira will read the dates correctly, however no matter what I try, it always shows up with an error:

Image one: trying dates with dd/MMM/yy h:mm format, no quotes

Image two: trying dates with dd/MMM/yy h:mm format, quotes

Can anyone tell me why no matter which date format & csv format I use, it always gives an error?

Many thanks

Hi @Amelia King , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I would check how the export format looks on issues created in Jira, then match it in the import file

Hi Amelia - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I have found that if you set the format to YYYY-MM-DD that should work. Be sure to set the format in the CSV itself as well as the format in the import tool.
