CSV Import to URL custom field: Exception Message: Not a valid URL

Envitia November 1, 2017

My CSV import works fine except for the following:

  • I've created a custom field with URL in it, called URL

When importing the following data:

Header row: Summary,Assignee,Reporter,Issue type,Product,License type,Other license type,Current Status,Last Evaluation Date,URL
Content row: summarytest,admin,admin,software,summarytest,other,Development Environment,Obsolete,28/Apr/14, http://intranet/QA/Process/ASL Process/product.asp?idx=39

The following error message comes up:

  • Cannot add value [ [http://intranet/QA/Process/ASL Process/product.asp?idx=39] ] to CustomField URL in Issue with summary 'summarytest'. Exception Message: Not a valid URL

Hi!

check if the url is correctly formated I saw an space on it http://intranet/QA/Process/ASL Process/product.asp?idx=39

i use a standard text field to store urls, sometimes the user needs to add to a ticket an url that works but it’s invalid,lo

@Gaston Valente good point,  I'll try to convert the whitespaces to %20 and see how that works out!
