Hello,

I need to migrate records from Old JIRA (V7.10.2) to New JIRA (V8.22.4) using CSV import option.

I would like to know if there's a way to import Time Spent, Attachments and Comments fields using CSV import as a JIRA Project admin/Global admin.

Appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

Yes. Follow the notes on https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver0822/importing-data-from-csv-1142237802.html. You will find a list of fields you can import and tips on preparing the data.

Thank you Lima for sharing the information.

May I know what kind of role is required to import all information using CSV? Currently I see only the below option as JIRA Project Admin and it requires to map the fields instead of having the fields in the CSV header.

You need Jira admin permission to import attachments and time spent, which must be through the external system import functionality. The page I shared explains the differences and limitations. See Importing issues in bulk and Running the CSV file wizard sections for more details.

Yes, you need to map the fields. However, when you run the import for the first time, you can save the configuration file, which will keep the mappings, and you don't need to redo it every time you run the import.

Hello Ivan,

I'm trying to import attachment (picture) from CSV but Attachment Jira field is not reachable during the mapping step.

Is it accessible or Jira administrator needs top set up a parameter for that ?

Thanks for support

Florian
