Bypassing a dead end

I have unfortunately, by changing a workflow - left a few issues in a state, that has no ingoing og no outgoing transitions. Is there any way you the JQL tool can transform the status of these issues to another state ? (Any other helpfull hints will be much appriciated)

JQL is for searching for issues. Nothing else, not even reporting on them

The only way I can think of fixing your issues is to create a new workflow scheme, one that has a copy of your workflow, but with the broken step removed, and then migrate the project to it. It'll ask you what status to move the broken issues into.
