Bypass Shibboleth on Jira server (Not Cloud) and use REST APIs authentication and commands

I am trying to bypass Shibboleth to use REST APIs. Tried on http to turn off Shibb authentication for "rest" directory but get a dead link error when I try it something like this

https://jira-server/rest

Any idea how I can accomplish that?
