But in the "Sprint" Attribute drop down list.

Phillip_Dang May 1, 2024

When I edit a Jira ticket, I use the Sprint attribute which is a drop down list.  There is a checkbox at top that you can check that "only shows sprints in this project (projectname)". which is defaulted as checked.

However not all  "active" and "future" sprints are displayed. Only select ones.  And they are not listed in any order I can discern.  Example: I typically plan out my two week sprints a year in advance so 26 sprints. I would 'expect' the dropdown by default to display all 26 sprints at the start of the year as well as the current active sprint.  But it displays 10 future sprints in no particular order and sometimes it does not display the active sprint.

Is this a bug? or am I missing something here?  Shouldnt the drop down list display ALL active and future sprints?

Hi @Phillip_Dang ,

The Sprint dropdown menu uses a deprecated API call to fetch sprint 'suggestions'. It seems to have a limit of 5 active sprints, and 10 sprints in total.

If you start typing within the sprint picker, it will search for sprints including those that were
not displayed initially.

I hope this helps!

Best,
Ed
