I would like to try to bulk edit the 'Fix Version' for issues within the same project, however the field does not appear. Can someone help? I've tried the community, but most refer to across projects. I've attempted to update permissions, but still nothing.
hey @Kerri-Ann Campbell ,
fixVersion is system field and should be there by default but still if you are not able to see it you need to check below point:
Field configuration: Ensure that the "Fix Version" field is associated with the correct field context for the project.
Screen configuration: Verify that the "Fix Version" field is included on the appropriate screens used for the issue types within the project.
Check for permission: Double-check the permissions for the "Fix Version" field to ensure that you have the necessary permissions to view and edit it.
IssueType configuration: Review the configuration of the issue types within the project to confirm that the "Fix Version" field is applicable and visible for those issue types. It's possible that the field might be hidden or restricted for certain issue types, which would prevent it from appearing during bulk editing.
Hello @Kerri-Ann Campbell
I'm wondering if the field is not visible because it hasn't been added to the configuration screen of your issue type
You can check visually by adding the "FixVersion" column to see if you have successfully bulk edited the tickets or via jql
You need the Jira admin role to add the FixVersion field to the screen for your ticket types.
Hope this can help you

Thank you both for your answers. I was able to establish that not all of the issue types had the 'FixVersion' assigned. I hadn't realised that would be the case, so your responses helped me to figure it out.
Thanks very much.
