Hi All,

We are trying to migrate our Epic issues to Feature ( Custom issue type) type using bulk operation. While doing, we enable the option Keep child issues. After successful migration Epic issue became Feature issue with all data retained. But we lost child issues.

How can we retain child issue while moving or this is expected result when Epic converted to Feature (Custom issue).

Thanks

Hello @Sayikiran

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

An issue's parent must be in the hierarchy level directly above it. The default issue type hierarchy is:

Epic (level 1)
|-- standard issue types (level 0), i.e. Story, Task, Bug
|-- sub-task issue types (level -1)

At what level is you custom issue type Feature? If it is not at the same level as Epic, then the children of Epics cannot be the direct children of Features.
