Bulk changing tasks to sub tasks for different parents

hi,

I have many tasks with parent-issue links belonging to the story-type issues.  One story type parent per task.

Is there a way to bulk change the tasks to sub-tasks and automatically have the parent as the story without individually setting the parent during the "convert to sub-task" process?

You could do this through a CSV import. You would download the task issues with their issue link. Then you would upload the data setting the Issue Type to Sub-Task and the Parent Link to the Story parent. This would create new issues - you could then delete the old task issues.

I haven't tried changing the Issue Type directly in the CSV and keeping the same Issue Key. That may be possible. You would have to experiment with it.
