Bulk actions for storys and their subtasks

Nadine Esser

Hello together,

I have a question. I have projects with storys and the storys have subtasks.

In the case the the story set to the status Closed, I want to close all the subtasks of this story, too.

Is this possible?

Regards

Nadine

Hi @Nadine Esser

You can set this as a project rule but this would mean that it would happen for all stories in that project.

Go to project settings -> automation and then you can create automation so that when your story is set to closed, then your sub-tasks (in issue) will close.

Hope this helps.

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

thank you for your answer, but I can't find the settings in the project. I click on the project and then where can I find these settings?

@Nadine Esser

Do you have ScriptRunner (not advertising for the company)?

This can be done using a script in a post function that will close all subtasks when a parent is closed.

Not sure if there are other plugins to help you with your request.

Let me know if you have any other questions

Best,

Fadoua
