Bug with Issue Collector error display

No error message is displayed when creating an issue when an error occurs due to a field configuration problem.

# Attempt to create an issue while a field is required but will be present on the issue collector (eg. Assignee is set to Required)
# Fill out all fields correctly
# Submit (Page will refresh, and show issue collector configuration page again as it was not submitted)

The red box error is not shown until an element on the page is changed. Changing the issue type for the issue collector will make the error message appear at the top of the page.

From reading your description and steps I believe this is already an existing bug.  Please see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-43028 for more details.

If you feel that your instance is somehow different than the summary and description of that particular bug, please let me know.

Hi Andrew,

That looks like the one, affects other fields other than assignee but that issue should cover it. I think I didn't find it in my search because of the version.

Probably best to open a support ticket with Atlassian so they can file a bug at https://jira.atlassian.com to track the issue.

Can't file a ticket because we're still on a starter licence. Have been told by support to post on community, so that 'someone else' can verify it.
