Is this how I report a bug? I was not able to find how to report a bug, this should be easier to find. Or are we not paying enough to be allowed to report bugs?
I'm having an issue with comments in Jira tickets. If I type a normal comment and then click an a different element on the page (I don't leave the page), then it says 'You have an unsaved comment'. This is good. The problem is that when I do this with a REPLY to a comment, then my reply just disappears and can not be restored, instead of showing 'You have an unsaved comment'.
I have lost a lot of time re-typing my replies because it likes to disappear all the time. I'm being forced to type my comment in a different app and then copy it over to Jira. This is frustrating. Please fix this.
Hello @Brenden Verner
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Writing here in the user community is not the best way to report a bug directly to Atlassian.
If you are using a paid subscription for Jira then you Jira Administrators can open a support case with Atlassian Technical Support.
If you are not a Jira Admin or are not using a paid subscription then you can use the Give Feedback option under the Help menu in Jira to provide feedback directly to Atlassian.
You can also look in the public Atlassian backlog to see if the issue is already documented.

When writing about an issue here in the user community we can provide advice about your scenario, and we also can search the backlog to see if we find that it is already documented.
I think this change request covers your experience:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-94124
I can confirm that I have the same experience as you, and I am using Chrome Incognito
Thank you for your response! That change request indeed covers the issue.

When you reply to your comment what do you get in the development console of your browser? Have you done this in the incognito mode?
