Hi guys,
whenever I try to add a description or comment to a ticket (created by myself), Jira "crashes". My colleague has the same problem. That means I cannot activate the fields "Description" and "Add a comment". I am forced to reload the page. Where could the error be? Is there anything to do in the settings?
Hi @[deleted] , welcome to the Community. That sounds pretty nasty. I would suggest the following actions:
Hi Jack,
thanks for answering. Unfortunately I can´t use Atlassian Support. I´m using the free cloud version.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I see. When you say it “crashes” exactly what are you seeing? I have never witnessed what I would cause a “crash”, e.g. the SW throws an exception.

Well, maybe "crash" is the wrong word. Instead, the page no longer reacts and fields can no longer be selected and edited.
I.e. If I open a ticket and click on "comment" to enter a text, the page hangs completely. I can neither select and choose another field (e.g. "Author" or "Assign") nor can I close the ticket window.
Finally I have to reload the page.
When I enter a ticket from my mobile phone using the Jira app, I can edit the Comment and Description fields.

Try a different browser. Or run your browser will all extensions/addons disabled. (running in incignito mode is a quick way to do this.
I have seen browser extensions break things in jira before.
