Board with linked issues of a user chosen issue

To ease team discussions we would like to be able to see the linked issues of a given task in a board view. I can create a board with a filter to do just that for a specific issue but if I have 2 tasks like that every week for each team, it becomes a lot of boards. 

So ideally my filter should contain a variable that can be given by the user: the key of the task for which to show the linked issues. Or such board could be launched from the task in the view screen. 

I am thinking whether it is possible to do so by scripting with or without the development of an app? We have made some scripted fields, listeners and other customizations in Jira but no app yet. As a software company, we are engineers used to coding but the question is whether in this case it would take much more effort than reasonably affordable in creation and maintenance of such app...

As a next step I would add to the top menu bar an access to the boards for the tasks that have a due date e.g. in the coming two weeks. 

Any suggestions or comments on the feasibility/ complexity for first time app devopment would be appreciated.
