Site: doodhvale.atlassian.net Project: Flutter App Development Project Key: FT Board ID: 3 Settings URL: doodhvale.atlassian.net/jira/software/projects/FT/settings/boards/3/columns

Problem 1 — Columns not saving: When I try to reorder or save board columns in "Columns and statuses" settings, I get the error: "Some of your changes weren't saved. An error occurred on our end."

Problem 2 — 403 Permission error: The API returns: "No permission to update columns for board: 3" even though I am the Organisation Admin and Project Admin (Space Owner).

Already tried:

  • Multiple browsers (Chrome, Incognito)
  • Clearing cache and cookies
  • Logging in as Org Admin and Project Admin

Expected behaviour: All 9 columns should be visible and reorderable in the settings page, and changes should save successfully

Hi @Raj Chaurasiya

Where did you find documentation on any REST API endpoint you describe for configuring a board's columns for Jira Cloud?

Your question is tagged for Jira Cloud, and I do not believe there is a public, supported REST API endpoint to do that.  Here is the suggestion to add that capability:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-94779

There is an old, and no longer supported, Greenhopper endpoint to configure boards, but I would recommend not using that as it is likely subject to removal without notice.  And, the create board endpoint does not include the board column configuration as parameter data.

Kind regards,
Bill
