Blocking comments from closed issues

I am trying to block comments from closed issues by adding a rule to the property of the transition. it doesn't seem tobe working anyone got any ideas. I am using jira.permission.comment=denied

The property should be added on the step, not the transition. Also, see some discussion here: http://www.j-tricks.com/1/post/2011/02/permissions-based-on-workflow-status.html

Hey try with jira.permission.comment.group=Unknwon_group.

You may use any user group which is not extisting in jira.
