BitBucket link to JIRA - does licensing for BitBucket Changes if linked?

Hello everyone,

We have received JIRA notificaiton to link BitBucket to JIRA. However I do not understand if license also transfers to JIRA or can we keep current licensing? 

How does licensing work in this case? 

Can we keep the same number of users on BitBucket as before or is this number than sync to JIRA users? We have users in JIRA that have no use of BitBucket.

Hi, @Matevž Babnik 

Linking products does not affect licensing. The cost is based solely on the number of users you grant access to each product.

For example, you can have 100 users in Jira and pay for 100 licenses, while having only 10 users in Bitbucket and paying for 10 licenses.

Each product’s billing is independent and scales with the number of users assigned to it.
