BigPicture: Is there a way to see child dependencies at a parent level?

Deleted user June 29, 2023

Good morning!

I am using BigPicture for Jira to view issue dependencies in the Gantt chart module. I wanted to ask if there is a way to see the dependency links between different parent issues when their children have a dependency link instead of the parents having a dependency link. Specifically on the BigPicture Gantt chart module, I want to see dependency arrows between parents when the parents are collapsed (and do not show their children who have arrows pointing to each other between the different parents).

For example, let there be parent issues A and B and their respective child issues AA and BB. Let there be a link between AA and BB such that an arrow points from AA to BB because AA needs to finish before BB can start. When A and B are expanded (so AA and BB are shown), an arrow points from AA to BB. However, when A and B are collapsed (AA and BB are no longer viewable) and the dependency is no longer visualized on from the Gantt chart. Is there a way for a dependency arrow to be displayed between A and B because A is holding up B at a lower level? I am hoping to do this without having to make a link between A and B specifically.

Thank you for any guidance!
