BigGantt dates changes

Regarding the dates set up on JIRA big gantt is there any automatic functionality that changes the dates that were set up?
My problem is that I have a project gantt where I have dates associated with all tasks, for some reason they have changed. I was wondering if there is some automatic changes or if the only way to change dates is to move the bar on gantt chart. All changes to the biggant are sent via email but with no user info besides "BC".
