Hi,
I want to delay the execution of a branch for about 4 seconds.
Unfortunately the "Delay" action is not available because I am using the Free or the Standard version of Jira.
Any ideas?

Simon
Hi Simon,
Maybe do a couple (or 3!) Re-fetch actions in a row.
Hi @John Funk
Thanks!
3 Re-fetch actions combined with some edit and delete actions did the trick.

What problem are you trying to solve by adding the delay of 4 seconds? Knowing that may help the community offer better suggestions.
Until we know that...
You could use the Send Web Request action to call a public REST API endpoint to provide the delay. Remember to select the option in the action to wait for the response before continuing.
Kind regards,
Bill

On Jira Free and Standard there is no supported way to delay a branch by a few seconds. The Delay action is simply not available on those plans. The only practical workaround is to redesign the rule so the second part runs on a separate trigger, such as a field update or status change caused by the first action, or to rely on a scheduled rule. If you truly need an exact time delay, upgrading to a plan that includes the Delay action is the only native solution.
