Best practices in JIRA

Hi All, 

My organization wants to adopt the best practices for the JIRA & this task has been assigned to me. 

There are numbers of ideas on the table. However, I am seeking some help from the expert community on one topic as below. 

What hierarchy should be used for issue type, when setting up the new project in Kan-ban/Scrum, ? 

Epic > User stories > Sub-Tasks 

Or 

Epic > User Stories > Tasks > Sub-Tasks (if required) 

Which one is correct to follow & why !

Jira only does Epic > User stories > Sub-Tasks so use that.
