Beginner question regarding Jira Due Date Custom Field and Due date default field

Hi Guys, Is there a way to transfer the custom field Due Date data to the Jira Due date default filed without loosing its data vice versa? Thank you!

Go to the project you want to do this in, and then into the project settings.  Find "automation" and add a new one.
