Backlog Epic Panel Not Showing filter has been applied

Today I used a filter on the project level to help control issues showing in my backlog to organize by epic link, when I did that it removed all my epics from my panel. I need to adjust a setting or JQL to bring those back in to view. My request to solve is to have the issues still group by epic link but show my epics in the epic panel as they normally do. I feel like it is something extremely simple , please help !!

Hi @DeAnna Law ,

Your board filter has the expression "issuetype != Epic," which means it does not include issues of the Epic type. That's why your Epic panel is showing empty.

And you can use swimlanes to group issues by Epic in the board view.

Thank you I needed to remove the issue type not equal to expression and it returned. I knew it was something simple.

You must retrieve the Epic's from your filter for them to appear.
